You work at EarthRoamer? There is an OPPO that works at EarthRoamer?

Apparently there used to be two opponauts who worked at EarthRoamer. I started after the other guy left though.
Granted there’s only like 35 employees haha.

I do believe we are hiring a couple spots...
And not everyone gets to drive the trucks ;) too much on insurance. I’m one of the lucky few.

Nice! That one left our shop last week actually after they wanted some custom work done. And yeah. That’s the LTS on the F-550 chassis. That one ONLY has 41" tires ;)

The commute’s a bit much from MI but I could probably manage.

there’s something funny about having a lone spare tire on empty frame rails

What was funnier is the shop it was at previously strapped a 2x4 to the rear of the frame and nailed in bits of carpet to act as mudflaps.

Is there some kind of crane or winch to get the spare tire down? I can't imagine a mere mortal being able to lift that down.

Can... can you convert it to turboshaft power? If I found a GE T-58 could you make it work?
I’d call it the “Abrams JR”.

Holy shit man.
I’ve worked on some insanely cool projects.
This blows away all of it, I love what you guys do. If you ever need support from Michigan ( Ford specifically) you let me know.

You guys looking for an Engineering Intern? Mechatronics Engineer here. If so, i could send a resume. Willing to relocate for a summer internship!

Yeah this one has a built-in winch in the middle of the hub mounted to the camper. There’s a tool we built that assists in lowering the tire as well. These guys are pushing 200 lbs so yeah, definitely need assistance haha.

Can that turbine work off diesel fuel?
If so that could be a fantastic idea.

I wish. We don’t really do actual engineering here. We contract out for that for the initial designs, so there’s no real need for an actual engineer. I’m hoping the longer I stay I can convince them otherwise and actually use my degrees...

Well we are having to do some major redesigns when the new super duty comes out (since a lot of our work relies on the chassis design), but I’m thinking the higher-ups are already on top of that :)
Ford has been really supportive. Probably the reason that’s what our base is set on.
